Meet Erik W. Lindberg
Erik W. Lindberg is a seasoned legal executive and trusted business advisor specializing in construction, commercial real estate, and corporate law. With 20 years of experience—most of it as in-house counsel—he has led legal and business strategy for billions of dollars in infrastructure, transportation, renewable energy, and environmental projects nationwide.
Erik’s track record spans some of the largest and most complex construction initiatives in the United States, including Department of Transportation projects, rail expansions, renewable energy facilities, environmental remediation, and federal developments. He is recognized for his mastery in negotiating and structuring engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) agreements; navigating public procurement; ensuring compliance; and implementing risk transfer strategies that protect profit and drive project success. Known for distilling complexity into actionable solutions, Erik brings clarity and control to high-stakes negotiations and transactions.
Erik has guided real estate developments from concept to completion—drawing on experience inside a development company and his personal real estate projects. His business-first approach to legal strategy stems from a deep understanding of operational realities, financial drivers, and the people behind every deal.
A graduate of Miami University’s Farmer School of Business and St. Louis University School of Law, Erik is admitted to the Illinois Bar and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He is an active member of the Illinois and Winnebago Bar Associations.
Beyond his legal practice, Erik has served in leadership roles with The Association of Corporate Counsel, including Chair of the Real Estate Network and Diversity Co-Chair, and contributed to civic initiatives like the Rockford Corridor Improvement project. He is the co-founder of The Ethan Lindberg Foundation, a nonprofit supporting families raising children with complex medical needs. He has served as a youth football coach with the Rockford Titans—combining his passion for mentorship, leadership, and teamwork.
